The Ashoka Vatika tour starts at Kandy from where you will be travelling to the Muneeshwaram Temple, Chillaw. It is of mythological prominence in Ramayana and from here you can visit the Mannavari Temple at a distance of 20 minutes drive from here. From here we go back to Kandy and then visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

The next day you can visit the Nuwara Eliya, and on the way you can drop at the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple,Ramboda. The Gayatri Peedam is not far from here, you can drive to Gayatri Peedam in the evening.

Then you can head on for some sight seeing to the Nuwara Eliya set against the beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is also good for Birding as you get some rare birds in this Park. The next spot is Hakgala Gardens with its mythological importance known to have been expanded during the British rule.

Bandarawela is the next spot of tourism interest and you can drop a visit to the Seetha Amman Temple, and Seetha Eliya on the way. There is a beautiful stream that runs down the hill which is of great mythological importance and is considered to be sacred as it fulfilled the needs of Goddess Sita during her stay at Ashoka Vatika. You can find a temple along the stream where Lord Rama, Sita Devi, Lakshmana and Lord Hanuman are worshipped. Your next visit will be to the Divurmpola  where Sita Devi was subjected to the fire to prove her chastity after her liberation from the King Ravana.

You will next visit Colombo and take the routes across Ratnapura and Sitawaka, Aviswsawella. As the names suggest these places have their historical and mythological importance. You can spend some leisure time here. The next day it is time to return after a visit to the Panchamugha Anjaneyar Temple.
